In the same year he became member of the German association of artists. 1917 he became an honorary member of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Gustav Klimt preferred to go on summer vacation to the Attersee Lake, Upper Austria, where he painted most of his landscape paintings. He never married, but he had some relationships.
